Vacation and Other Tales of Enduring Love
Announcing the release of my second work of fiction!
★★★★★
"A compact but moving collection that will stay with readers long after they close the book."
Kirkus Reviews
We are not meant to travel through life alone.
These are stories of the sustaining power of love. Whether we are descending into the Grand Canyon on muleback or lost in Venice with absolutely no sense of direction, a journey shared is the best vacation.
Four stories, four couples, four seasons of life. A grade school teacher and a tankful of tadpoles. An old man suddenly compelled to build an enormous private garden. These stories are poignant, absurd, full of mystery, and in their own way, heroic.
As all love stories are.

Welcome to Glenn Morrow's World
Crafting prose has always been Glenn Morrow's occupation and delight. He has taught writing at University of Massachusetts and a small school in Firenze, Italy. Worked as an advocacy journalist, editor of Storytelling Magazine, and software technical writer. He believes that good fiction is a gift that offers hope and clarity. He learned from his Ukrainian grandmother long ago that life is too precious to be taken entirely seriously. All characters and situations in his books are entirely the product of his imagination.

About the Covers
Things Beloved You may be surprised that this cover is not some sort of digital Frankenstein, something that Josh Redford (from "The Observatory") might have "touched." It is, in fact, an unretouched photograph by my wife Deborah Morrow. The big full moon is a lunar globe desk lamp. I folded the paper sailboat. The waves are photographic prints of paintings of waves. The shadow cast by the sailboat was a pure gift.
Vacation and Other Tales of Enduring Love The photograph of two courting Waxwings is by Mike Lane. The mutual and reciprocal berry-passing courtship ritual of Cedar Waxwings is one of the most romantic behaviors in all of nature. It is a fitting image for the stories that follow within.
